I have had the honor of photographing weddings for my friends. It’s great because it’s something I am good at, it’s fun and I get to be there for my friends. I have know Haley for about five years. I have never prepared a wedding speech before. There was not really an opportunity to give a speech during their wedding day, but I was ready. Here it is,
“I met Haley several years ago. We met during classes at DMACC for a Graphic Design degree. I don’t know exactly WHY we became friends. Most of the other students were just out of high school. We were older. I think we looked for each other for support in a room of crazy kids. We worked on several projects together outside of school. The biggest was a for a photo book. The details don’t matter, but the book was never published. We have both moved on, and at this point I doubt the photo book will ever be competed. We have several chapters completed in our unfinished book. Please raise your glasses and toast Haley and Jared, who today begin their marriage and start writing their own book with their own unfinished chapters.”
